The Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School is a free, high-achieving, kindergarten to eighth grade, public charter school in Franklin, Massachusetts. We value a strong partnership with families, the pursuit of a classical body of knowledge, and responsibility for self and the community.
Among the first charter schools in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School opened its doors in September 1995 with 150 students in grades kindergarten through four. Each year, a grade was added until we reached our full capacity of 450 students, spanning grades K-8.
In the fall of 2019, BFCCPS moved to a new property at 500 Financial Park and expanded enrollment in Grades KIndergarten through Five. This year, BFCCPS will enroll 900 students with four homerooms in Kindergarten through Grade Eight.
The four pillars of our mission – Parents as Primary Educators, Classical Education, Character Education and Community Service – guide us in all we do and keep students, staff, families, administration and board members engaged in a rich tradition of innovation and success.
