Benjamin Franklin Educational Foundation
Volunteer Ideas
Volunteer time and talent to an organization that has been around for over 25 years and is making an impact on 900 students, faculty, and families.
Individual and Group Volunteer opportunities are always available. The Foundation has many ideas listed here but new ideas can be proposed any time!
1 / Webpage Design
We could always use someone's help with updating the website and welcome the input.
2 / Graphic Design
There is a lot of advertising when it comes to fundraising. We could use an excellent communications expert and/or graphic design expert to create images and themes for events.
3 / Event Planning
We welcome expertise in event planning to assist with running all the events we host throughout the year such as cornhole tournament, gala, and social gatherings.

One of the best ways to support the Foundation is to host a fundraiser such as a parlor event (house party), 5K, golf tournament, or cornhole tournament and choose the Foundation as the beneficiary of the proceeds. If you are interested, please contact info@bfefoundation.org.

4 / Fundraising
We welcome experience around written appeals, capital campaigns, social media campaigns, major gift acquisition, and more
5 / Grant Writing
We would love more expertise around grant writing to truly make a large impact on our organization.
6 / Volunteer Coordination
Given that all of our events are run by a large number of volunteers, it would be great if a highly organized individual would be willing to provide oversight and volunteer coordination.
7 / Alumni Recruitment and Retention
We are looking to have a strong, robust alumni network that is tracked in our alumni database. We rely on word-of-mouth and networking to bring our alumni closer. Our greatest hope is to develop an Emerging Leaders Board which can consist of both alumni and community friends and partners.
8 / Marketing and Communications
If you have experience in marketing and/or external communications, please consider helping us spread the word about the Foundation! We'd love to have you.
9 / Corporate Partnerships
If you have a knack for networking or have many connections in corporations...or are willing to make those connections with some tips and coaching, please consider volunteering your time. Corporate relationships can really take a nonprofit to the next level of success.
